The Pillow Book Chronicles

“The Pillow Book Chronicles” was a web-series that I started all the way back in 2005. It’s been 8 years since I started and unfortunately, I never finished the project. It just was kind of left hanging.

I used to be a very big fan of “web-comics”. They were essentially comics that artists drew online and released to the public. These artists usually did not have the backing of a major art/comic company such as Marvel or DC, but many had a very large following. So as an aspiring artist at the time, I decided to see if I could do it. And so I started.

I was a sophomore student at Cornell at the time and that’s when this little web-series was born. It started off just penciled and inked and then sometimes I decided to color them. (Sorry if the people look green. I am colorblind.)

It was a nice hobby of mine for a few months. Releasing one after another. But then school took over and I could no longer keep up with it.

So I’m posting it here. Just as an archive of something I once did, but no longer could continue.

I hope that at least some of them will bring a smile to your face. I know they did for me when I drew them.
