A lot has happened these past few weeks–so much so that I can’t possibly go over everything here in detail. While I know that most people will probably not go on to read my post past the first paragraph, I will go on regardless…

These past two weeks have been a blur, but it has been a good blur. I was able to get all of my work done, party it up as hard as I could and then enjoy the time I’ve had since finishing everything. It’s weird knowing that everything is over and done with and that I’m now just waiting for graduation in two weeks, but it’s a good feeling nonetheless and I’m very happy with the way things are now.

There have been a slew of parties that I’ve been attending in the last two weeks. For example my good friend Iris turned 21 just recently and my other friends Karl and Niki turned 22 and threw a party. These parties all surrounded Slope Day, which here at Cornell is the biggest all-over campus party where people celebrate the last day of classes on the grass slope between West Campus and the main libraries. It’s been an awesome time and I don’t think I’ve ever had that much fun.

I guess a huge part of why I am so excited and happy about things is because while all these parties were happening I ended up becoming someone special to a good friend of mine. To put it simply, I’m dating someone now and am now really happy about how things have turned out. I suppose the feelings we’ve had for each other have been developing over some time already, but had just culminated after the last few parties we’ve gone to together. I don’t want to give too many details about it because it is somewhat a personal matter, but I will tell you one thing–I’m just really content with everything about us. Seriously speaking, I feel that she is a breath of fresh air in my life. It’s been a very long time since I’ve been able to feel anything as genuine as this, and after all the hardships and disappointments I’ve had in the past I finally feel that I’ve fallen into something that actually suits me. My girlfriend really treats me well and even before we started dating she had become a really close friend of mine–always supportive, not too overbearing and just naturally sweet. For once, I don’t feel like I’m being forced into some kind of weird relationship where I have to act a certain way or deal with any other crazy expectations. What’s different now is that I can totally be myself around this girl and not have the fear of being reprimanded or being called out on it (and I mean, why should I be?). What’s different about this now is that it just feels natural. And you know what? I sincerely think that I deserve someone like this especially after being tossed around and treated like garbage in my past relationships. It’s just nice to know that there is a girl for me who is loyal, sweet and sincerely cares for me. To me that is a rare find these days, and it just makes me extremely happy. So thank you j for everything you’ve done for me thus far. 🙂

Not much has happened in the last few days. I finished my last final this past Monday night and although it was a very hard one, I got through it all right. I went out with my friends Erwin and Karl afterwards to have a celebratory drink and then visited my girlfriend right afterwards. Today, I spent the whole day with my friends Allen and Clara and we toured Ithaca visiting the Science Center, lounging around in Pyramid Mall and attending an APAA Senior Send-off dinner at a wonderful sushi restaurant. It’s been a simple and fun time altogether, and I’m sure I will continue to have good times throughout the next two weeks before my graduation ceremony, so I’m looking forward to it.

Well, that’s pretty much for the update.
